Bali Hosts the Prestigious International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) Annual Meeting 2018
Every year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) bring together government executives and representatives from around the world to discuss issues of global concerns that will be the focus of future work of the two institutions. The Meetings are held for two consecutive years at the IMF and WBG headquarters in Washington, D.C and every third year in another member country.
This year, Indonesia is proud to play host for the IMF WBG Annual Meeting. Set in Nusa Dua, Bali from 12-14 October 2018, the international event will discuss the global outlook of the world. The recent successful event management of the Asian Games in two cities simultaneously, Jakarta and Palembang, shows how well prepared we are to accommodate the expected 3,500 delegates from 189 member countries, 1,000 media representatives and more than 5,000 participants representing various fields.
Specifically for Bali, the Annual Meeting event will become another successful testament for Indonesia on managing a global event. All MICE venues facilities and infrastructure have been developed to bear the estimated 15,000 visitors coming in and out of the island. Recent developments by the government will also show an improved security, infrastructure and cleaner environment for everyone in Bali.
For the Annual Meeting itself, the Nusa Dua Resort Complex will be the home base for the meeting delegates and accommodates more than 4000 available rooms of international four and five-star chain hotels and visitors to the facilities will entertained by the array of luxurious shops, café, and restaurants within the area, including International standard 18-hole Golf courses, Country Clubs and an Amphitheater nearby.
Welcome Delegates to the island of the gods!
